Description
What is the position? A machinist based role that is a mixture of machining work and general service work. Based in the Christchurch workshop and reporting to the Service Manager.
What skills and qualifications do you need?
- Proven, significant experience with the manual lathe and milling.
- The relevant trade qualification
- Welding experience is an advantage.
- Experience with hydraulics is a big advantage
What kind of personality traits do you need?
- A strong mechanical mindset
- The ability to work well both independently and with others.
- Attention to detail, accuracy in your work
- Be able to complete work in a timely manner
What are some of the tasks and responsibilities?
- Responsibility of a job from start to finish
- Cylinder repairs and manufacture
- Manufacture of one off components
- General service and repair work
- Power pack manufacture
