Company Timeline

HYSPECS, HYTECH and HYTRANS Auckland move to their new purpose built premises at 32 Crooks Road, East Tamaki. Almost four times the size of the old Lady Ruby Drive location, the new building gives us the much needed room for stock and brings the three companies under a common roof.

2008

Hyspecs Holdings has 42 staff in four companies servicing all of New Zealand.

2007

Hytrans (Hyspecs Transmissions) is formed to provide a total power transmission solutions arm to supplement Hyspecs hydraulic and electric motors with planetary drives and other power transmission accessories.

2005

Hytech (Hyspecs Technologies) is formed to initially support Hyspecs requirement for aluminium and steel machined hydraulic cartridge valve manifolds.

2002

Hydraulic Specialties has 27 staff in two locations and is now regarded as New Zealand's leading supplier of hydraulic equipment.

2001

Hyspecs celebrates 25 years of operation! Auckland purchases adjacent warehouse and expands to current 950m2 building.

1997

Christchurch office re-develops premises and expands to current 920 m2 building.

1995

Hydraulic Specialties (S.I.) Limited and Dales Hydraulic Services merge.

1990

Auckland office moves into current building.

1989

Hydraulic Specialties (S.I.) is formed. Hydraulic Specialties achieves one million dollars in sales.

1980

Hydraulic Specialties Limited is formed by Wynne Cranston as an alternative supplier of hydraulic equipment to the New Zealand market

1972
